ABOUT THE RECORDING STUDIO

Welcome to Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, a legendary recording venue that has shaped the sound of modern music since its opening on April 1st, 1969. Opened by 4 musicians famously known as the Swampers, our storied history began with Cher as our first artist, and since then, we have been the creative home for a multitude of iconic musicians and bands.

From the Rolling Stones and Bob Seger to Paul Simon and Lynyrd Skynyrd, our studio has hosted sessions that produced timeless hits. Contemporary artists like the Black Keys, Chris Stapleton, and Lana Del Rey continue to choose Muscle Shoals Sound Studio for its unique atmosphere and inspiring vibe.

Want to record your next project here?

Muscle Shoals Sound Studio is open to the public for tours from Tuesday to Saturday. Following our daytime tours, the studio is available for recording sessions starting at 5pm, unless otherwise scheduled.
Sundays and Mondays are available all day for recording sessions. We have found that the best use of the time is to start on a Saturday at 5pm and go through Monday evening.

A non-refundable deposit is required to book any session.
